If I swap in an 83 302, will I be able to use my stock springs and 6cyl. radiator? If the car sits a little lower in the front, it'll be no big deal, as long as it doesn't bottom out I guess.?. I'm about to replace my shocks, will that help? Also, my '72 has factory air, when I swap the V-8, will I be able to have air-cond. either with another system or my 6? I guess what I am trying to say is, will a V-8 with AC fit? Thanks, and please help..... Preston
Can't use the radiator. A/C will be custom work. Use the late compressor and hook to the original system. You may need a A/C shop to do this. It take understanding of how A/C works. If your going 134a , then you need help with it.
Thanks Ken, do you or anybody else know where I can get one? OR, is there any other car such as a mustang that I can get one off of that will fit? Please keep the advice coming!! Thanks in advance... Preston
OOPS!! I should have mentioned that I'm talking about a radiator!! My mistake, but in the future, if anyone can read minds, just let me know!! Preston
FYI, The radiator for the 250 inline six is the same as for the 302 V-8 (same part numbers). In addition, after performing my V8 swap, I found that the front end sat HIGHER with the 302 V8 than it did with the inline six. There seems to be a weight penalty with the inline 6-250. Just my .02 cents Pegasus
