When looking to swap subframes what measurement are you looking for? Im guessing its track width. In short I would like to put a 350 in an 89 dodge daytona.

Side note. Isn't it great that no matter the project this is the place to get information and learn.

Already know of that place. Was hoping to do like the mavericks and put a different subframe under it. With the mav we use mustang2 subframes.

Actually you dont use a different subframe. You just weld up the crossmember and other suspension parts to the stock maverick subframe. Ours dont bolt off like GM ones.

Learned something there. Granted I knew we didn't unbolt I had always kinda thought it was cut out the old subframe and weld in the new. Im kinda counting on the unbolting part from gm. Closest I found was the monza subframe but if its track measure its three inches under width.

Ive only seen one subframe swap. Someone put a 69 stang front on a maverick.

first and second generation camaro sub frames are really popular for these types of swaps. they just bolt to the body. they cary the motor, and trans mounts. also late 60s and 70s novas are the same way.

Awesome. I knew about the camaros but not the novas. Im worried about their width tho. As with all good projects more research to come.
