I started in july and it was only going to a few weeks. Well, things took alot longer than expected but I finally go my engine in! My mav now has a 302! It feels so good, my first engine swap.:D
So far we got the engine and tranny bolted to the car, drive shaft on, v8 throttle cable on. But now's where it gets tricky. I know nothing about electric. My car is a 77 that had an I6 250 and the engine came from a '76 mav 4dr. It seems to me that the wire harnesses a totally different. I guess what I have to do is study the wires and come up with some really specific questions for you guys. Unless some one knows of an easy way to hook it all up and can instruct me.
    I really appriciate the help,
    Dan;)

Post a picture or diagram or all the connections on the existing harness

Then post a picture or diagram of all the connections on the motor, altnator and carb and any other lose wires.

    Then well figure it out!

    Good luck, Mark;)
