Hey folks, anybody figure or know for sure if 1972, or abouts, mustang suspension parts are interchangable on any of our Mavericks or Comets? The upper control arms, springs and perches all look as if they would work and are alot cheaper. Hope to hear from you folks. Thanks

I believe they should, I talked with someone a while back about this. I have the front end suspension off of a 73 stang with disc brakes. I have not put it on yet, but after I finish buying my house I plan to put that front end on.

Thanks jeremy, I may get some components soon and try a few to see what works. Let us know when you get to your project! I'll let eveyone know if I have any luck also.

    suspension help

A 72 Mav has the same suspension as a 70 stang does.

Do sway bars interchange or are the Mustangs wider? They probably are, but it would be cool to have the extra options with all the Mustang aftermarket sway bars out there if they did fit.

Thanks for the input everyone! I'll be doing the mustang thing. It's alot cheaper than Maverick specific places. Gotta save when we can. It allows for more POWER later!

I once bought a 1 1/8" anti-sway bar for my mav from a 68 stang. It is a good 3 or more inches too long. I'm sure that this part from a 70's mustang would be too long as well. I guess the control arms and bushings and such would work.

The swat bar is different and a Comet one is the only one I've found that works also.

Thanks guys. I was pretty sure that they wouldn't work, but one can always hope right? Thanks for your time.
