Please forgive some of my questions as some might seem dumb. I dove head first into the hot rod and custom scene in the early 80's and never really looked back. Now I have a Maverick in the garage with my street rod and I am looking for some 60's-70's knowledge. I know that Ford had the SVO group in the 80's, and it was changed to the SVT group in the 90's. But what special group existed in the late 60's or early 70's? Was there one?? Besides Shelby of course.

I know there was the FORD DRAG TEAM. Don't know if they had a name for the performance engineers at that time or not.....
