Anyone here switch out there regular interior light for a LDO 3 way interior light?

I pulled my standard light out, and was going put in a LDO light that I bought off ebay, but the mouting screws are different.

Actually I have two LDO lights, and they both mount differently. One has a set of wires the other does not (this one says Ford on the back of it). I imagine the second works the same as the standard off the contact from the screws that mount into the bracket behind the headliner.

    Anybody do this before? Recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Yeah, what he said...

I've had the same questions for a while. Besides sitting there for an hour and trying to figure out which screw and wire has to go where, does anyone have any input?

    Thanks,
    Atzy.

I can tell you they are wired up differently, as the "map" lights need a constant hot wire going to them.

When I did the swap, I took the light and the complete wiring from a parts car. Put it in my car while the headliner was out. I remember drilling at least one or two holes to get it mounted correctly.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Craig,

I talked to MavMark yesterday, and he basically said the same thing. So it looks like I would have to run another power source to the lights and drill new holes.
