where did you mount the tach in your car. I am thinking of mounting mine on the column but want to be able to see it while racing. any pics would be appreciated

i mounted mine on the piller ? that is between the windshield and the door window

i took some sheet metal and bent it till it fit good and held it up there with a few pop-rivets

i have this one and it mounted to the back because it has a deal that unscrews where the wiers go

Kinda hard to see the fuel gauge, though...

EDIT--sorry, tried to post that with the ipad, but didn't work. Had to light up the desktop to make the picture show up.

Minitach on the column right between the gauge pods. Obstructs nothing and folks can see that you mean business when they look inside your ride(and they will because your ride is so SWEET).

Its on the column now and I can see both sides of the cluster. Tach is just above the signal arm.

Used to be mounted to the underside of the dash at the radio opening. I preffered it at the radio opening but the radio is in now. It had an aluminum tach bracket with a long rigid arm that mounted to the dash where the radio bezel screws in.

Have mine located in the dash to the right of the steering column. Long story, but it worked out good, easy to see and out of the way.

If i ever figure out how to build my own dash, I will put the tach right in middle up front, with gas, speedo, etc around it.

I also like the Tach mounted right in the middle where everyone can see it. gauge_install_001_original.jpg

I mounted mine like many others on the column and its in a good spot. Its not in the way of anything and I can see it clearly. I think mine is a 5" tach, but Im not 100% sure.

I put mine where the ashtray used to be. Out of the way and easy to see.
