Somebody was asking about taillight swaps a while back.
I can't remember who...but here is a pic of what I believe was
a Brazillian or Central America/Mexico Maverick.
It would be interesting if someone could get a set.

    By the way

After I spent several minutes trying to figure out what it says on the metal insert on the tail panel, I noticed the drivers side mirror on the RIGHT side of the car. The muffler is on the left side in this photo. From memory, mine has had duals for 17 years, the factory single muffler would have been on the right. So, this means the picture is reversed, hey it says FORD! I think that is right.
It also appears to have a partial vinyl top. Does anyone else know more about these?? Where exactly from etc.
I know the exported Mavericks did not have the battering ram bumpers.

These cars weren't "exported"...they were "built" in Brazil.

That is a 3/4 vinyl top...also available in the USA.

    that sliver color..

I've got an idea that I might try with my own maverick, taking a sander to that area between the lights, and sand it to metal and put clear coat on it, but I'm not to shure on how it would look, but my car is in the works of getting redone, taking the paint off back there isn't that big of a deal thouhg, I may just do it to show you all how it does look, I'll try and get that done soon for ya all, there was that Idea and my other one was that stick on crome tape stuff you can get at a autopart store, and put that there... could look nice, but may be too much thouhg... I'll figure something out, let me know what you would like to see done

Keep it clean. Too much add on stuff and "the Pep Boys Performance package" IE too much chrome stuff can clog up a car. If anything, maybe a brushed aluminum look.

    yea

that was the idea of sanding down to the metal for that look, but I think it would be too shinny, but it can always be painted if it doesn't look good, but we will see

It a 78-79 Brazillian Maverick. They are the ones with those unique lights.
