What is the tallest and widest rear tires anyone has had luck fitting on the mav with 14 or 15 in rims? Pictures would be great. We ran 14" rims on our first maverick strip car with 28tall by 9 wide m/t that did rub on the fender lips pretty good until we shaved them off, but it gave the rear wheel well a full look which is what i want to give the 74 a "drag" look. Any help would ge great .
    Cam.

If I remember correctly I was running a 255/60 R14 ??? on the Blue maverick in my sig line but it sure has been a looooong time so don't quote me on that but it was something close to that none the less. I know they were really wide, not too tall and expensive as hell

Scott, do you have any larger pictures of your car with these on? And what rim/rear axle combo are you using?
    Thanks Cam

Here you go. This is before paint, lowering, markers removed etc etc etc

The rear is out of a Ranchero and is only 1/2" shorter than stock. Rim size is 8.75 with 4 5/8" BS

    Scott,
Thanks for the pictures. Before you modified your lips how close were they to your tires? The Blue looks very good on your car btw.

The lip was less than 1/8" away and would rub on even the slightest body roll. Thanks, I like the color as well.
