Well I bought some V8 frame brackets and mounts from a junk yard that I'd never been to before. They came from a 73 Maverick and he already had them out by the time I got there. When I got home, I put in my mock up engine block to start my T5 install. I pushed the trans against the floor but it seemed too low and the engine was on too much of an angle. I took another look at the service manual to make sure the mounts were on right. Well what I found was the rubber mounts were for a Torino! They are alot taller! So I ordered some new mounts and now it fits like a glove! These types of problems can really throw you off track when you expect it to be the right part.

I ran into the same problem on a friends car. He bought new ones from Autozone and thats what we got. Took awhile but we finally got the right ones.
