three on tree with a V8?

    My son sent me a video of a Maverick for sale with a three on the tree but the ad said it also has a 302. Was this combination ever offered?

    Lots of them built. The column shift was the standard for many years.

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    A six cyl with three on tree was std all years, optioning a larger engine did not change the fact transmission was still three on tree(in '70-'72, 250 was only avail with automatic option). For both auto & stick, floor shift was approx $25 option.
