well guys this is my first time on the board and i need some help. i recently killed the motor in my 75 mav. i've decided to rebuild. i need some advice on what to use? (pistons, conecting rods, cam ect.) i'm a 2nd-3rd year apprentice so this will be my 1st rebuild. now i don't want to go overboard with horsepower. i'd just like to step up a little bit from stock. now assuming the crank is not to bad should i have it machined or get another one. (will this one handle the upgrades?) thanks for any help.

The first thing you need to find is a good machine shop that can cunsult you on how to set up and recondition your block and heads & cranks for your motor.
The second thing you need (If your new at rebuilds) Is a good book that can take you step by step.

The book I have is by Tom Monroe "rebuilding small block fords"
