I'm gonna get new tires for my Grabber. I have the stock 14" wheels. What sizes are used by you guys. Wide is good. Right now I have 195/60 14's up front and 215/60 14's out back.

I've got stock wheels with the flat hub cap and trim rings. I guess they are 5 or 6 inches wide. 235's would be good. I'd like to run the same size front to rear, but I don't know if there is room up front for tires larger then 215's.

A lot of Mavericks came with 4 1/2" wide wheels from the factory...so you better check that first.

I'll have to look closely at the wheels. Hope they are not 4 1/2's. I recheched last night and the rear has 235/60x14 and the front has 195/60x14 tires.

The car was a 4 lug, but has been changed to 5 lug. Hope the guy also put 6" wide tires at least on the back.

I'll stick with the 235's out back, 245's may be to tall for the 6 banger to turn. 235's Look good and fit the opening, but 195's are just to small up front. The car has a nice rubber rake now, but I want more handling and I think the 195's will get over powered in turns.

Thanks for all the help guys. Maverick Man, your website is great.

Called my friend that I bought the Mav from and he said he put 6" wide wheels on it, so tire fit should be pretty good. Later I may opt for 8" wheels out back, but for now 235's may fit the bill.

Didn't realize it, but he had the car for 10 years and upgraded the brakes to V8 drums from the 6 cyl stuff. I'll be putting on Disc brakes in a few weeks. Will the 14" wheels clear the Granada stuff?

You need to make sure the wheels you have on it now have the larger "hole" in the center to fit over a disc brake hub. Small hole....won't fit.
