I have a '73 Comet and want to get the biggest tire I can on the car. Currently have 15X8 wheels with 3.5 inch backspacing and 26.5 X 10 ET streets. I will be buying another set of wheels and putting slicks on them. How big can you go? Doesn't look like you can fit a 15X10. I was thinking about a 15X9 wheel with M/T 28X9 slick?

Also doesn't anyone know the Rancho shock part number that fits the Comet?

    Thanks.

I had 29 1/2 by 9 slicks under mine. But there was a little rub on the fender well when I launched it. I went with 28x9 and there is no clearance problem and it only changed my rpm at the big end by about 200.
