Someone knows what torque should to be applied on the tires nuts??, I bought a set of tires in Costco and they said me that they don't have this specification for Ford Maverick '77 and maybe they could not installed without this measure. Company Policies!

    Thanks in advance!!!!

The old rules around the shop "back in the day"
85ft lbs for steel wheels / 70ft lbs for mags

Give them these numbers and it will get you out of their doors. When you get home - check and retorque them.

There are no nuts on your tires. They are on the wheel studs. I torque mine to 90 ft.-lbs.
Anywhere from 85 to 100 should be fine...

You'll want to recheck them after about 50 miles, especially with alloy wheels. It's rarely an issue, but once in a while it will be. For that purpose you don't have to get real fancy, just give them a quick jerk with a lug wrench to make sure none of them are loose. Use a star pattern as that's the norm with lug nuts to ensure even torque and lack of distortion of the wheel and hub or axle end.
