Not sure who will care about this news, but my buddy has stumbled across some documents-and he discussed them with the person who had them (he said they were top secret) anyway you know how they have that fat old el toro base in cali not being used??? Well Ford, or saleen is considering taking over 2 of those giant aircraft hangers for assembly, or ford use of some sort. My buddy said it was either Ford or steve saleen or both, he wasn't real sure. I think that would be cool because i am real close to el toro.
I doubt that it is Saleen, as he just moved into that huge new faucilty last year & he has more room than he even uses in his new faucility. Ford, on the other hand is involved in some major financial cutbacks & has no plans for any type of expansions. The latest on El Toro is the opening of a public airport to relieve some of the congestion at John Wayne Airport, but Orange County homeowners have been fighting that one for several years now. The huge "Cruising for a Cure" show & cruise was moved from El Toro site to another site this year because of all the politics involved surrounding El Toro.
The airport was officially squashed, and plans for a big park are in the works now. Ford may be in cutbacks, but my buddy is a mailman, and he delivered this document himself to a FORD guy who told him first hand about the possible plans at EL TORO.

ya ya, I know it sounds funny, this probably is really no big deal my best friend IS the mailman, and he saw it himself while delivering it to the reciever of the document. It also said that the 2008 maverick will be retro style like the mustang and tbird. alright....just kidding about that part.
