I have a unknown transmission behind my 73 grabbsers 302...it has a 4 wire connector comming out of it. the numbers on the trans are... RF-D7BP-7976-AA E2AP7006AA 10/80 25A C6AP-7D027-B Anyone who know what they mean or knows where i can find to deconde them out i would appretiate it greatly...
If you are talking about an automatic , then the numbers posted are not meaningfull at this time. All Ford ,c4 and c6 auto trans between 72 and 80 at least, are IDed starting with the letter P such as PEE-AH5 for a 74 Mav 302 C4 trans. A 200 six would be PEE-V7 for the year 74. Look for a tag with simular Id. Where is the 4 wire connector on the unit? It could possibly be some reassembled unit from a 4 wheel drive as a wild guess. Look for any alterations in mounting, drive shaft length change etc.
