I was able to remove all my trim undamaged using that 3 in one kit from harbor freight its like two bucks. Its really cheap though, the one to remove the window clips only did two windshields then one of the tips broke off. The one Dave posted looks sturdier.

I have that same tool but will it work to remove the drip rail trim?

after doing it a couple of times,
I found out that an old fashion bottle opener removes the drip rail trim perfectly.

It's not really meant to be removed.

I bought a 4 piece set off of eBay for something like $10. It's imported stuff but worked well enough to remove the ws and back glass trim without a hitch...

Not at all. Theres several threads on how to do it. But it all removes in different ways. Hence the reason for different tools.

I have used the bottle opener but not with the best results.

I know, but I want to remove them for paint.

I thought i had a picture of how to do it, but i guess i erased it. I just get one of those paint stir sticks and lay it flat on the trim(to protect it). Then use the bottle opener to leverage it off. Ive taken off 3 sets like this already with no dings .

Makes sense, I'll give that a try.
