    I see this listed at Melvin's. Does anyone know if I need both or is this a choose kinda thing?

    Those are 2 different parts. The luxury decor w/ jute from factory is a sort of thick tar paper with a jute backing.... im guessing for more sound and heat insulation properties? The reman ones are probably made from a rubber sheet with jute glued on.

    My best guess on the $18 one would be that it's either just a sheet of plastic like what's behind modern car door panels or a sheet of rubber.

    These are fairly simple to make if you have the resources available. I'm actually getting ready to make one right now out of ABS and foam.

    I happen to have a decent factory LDO one from my 74 comet that I could try to make a template of for you if you'd like.

    The cheaper one is just tar paper.....like what is placed below the shingles on a house.
