I have a proof in my hand. It will probably go to press Friday night or first thing next week. The only thing that is not to my liking is I wanted to have a calendar with a 8 1/2 x 11 photo. Do to the quality of the pictures.(and I do NOT mean that in a bad way!) I was not satisfied with what they looked like blown-up to that size. So I settle on a 5 x 8 1/2 photo. I know I said before that if I did not get the product I wanted, I would not do it. But, I want to let everyone know that I was serious about producing this product, so I am going to go ahead with it. I just want to stress the fact that this is something that I am going to do again next year. This was a learning process and I really want to(and I have the equipment to) produce a top quality, professional calendar. This is the type of thing I do everyday and have done for the last 15 years. But I need top quality photo's. The plan for next year is: I will be printing the 2004 calendar in late June or ealry July.( I want them ready for the round-up) I am going to need first class, top quality photo's turn into me by June 1st. I will keep on reminding everyone through the early part of next year. I know we always talk about doing things to promote our passion(mavs. & comets) I am willing to put the work into producing a product, I need you guys & gals to get my good photo's. Thanks for listening!
Thanks again for all your time and effort on this project!!! I will be sure to have some higher resolution photos for the next calendar!!!!
A big hand........ Lets all give a big hand for all of John's hard work!!!!! I'm looking forward to seeing the calendar! -Doug
hey john, I can't wait, make sure you post order information so I can order one from you. Just a note, if anyone has a 2 megapixel digital camera or better, bring it to the car shows and snap pix of all the mavs, those dig cameras put out some great pictures!
Yeah Ray, there's another post on the board somewhere. I'm looking for it now so I can get my check in the mail.
