Well, not as much progress as I'd hoped by this time, but I'm not in a big rush. Put new rubber on it and obviously the ride was improved drastically from the 20 year old rubber. I'd have to been soup simple to keep them anyway for several reasons. Engine has a lot of power still even with the carb not rebuilt yet and tranny seems to be ok even at highway speed. I guess it should with only 56,000 miles on it. No leaks showing up. After spending considerable time vacuuming all the debris out of the trunk and interior, found all to be in the great shape it appeared to be to start with. Cleaned the 20 years of grime off and found a couple things. First, it ended up being a wise move to get the replacement bumpers as the chrome on the originals is truly bad. Picked up two near Buffalo for $150 in pretty decent shape and was worth the road trip. Second, the paint will need more areas of correction than I originally thought. Amazing what 20 years of crud covered up. Not discouraged but more work. I'll get to that after I get the three rust spots fixed. A full spray would be great but simply not in the budget. I did pick up a set of poverty caps in great shape but the full caps are growing on me and think I'll stay with them. So, that's all there is for now.
