using a power steering box with manual steering

    1972 ford maverick grabber, 1977 ford maverick 4dr 351 v8
    so im just curious of how using a power steering box in a manual steering car would effect steering/ handling compared to using the manuabox for the manual steering

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    Power Steering box has a quicker ratio....so in a parking lot or moving slowly it will take more effort to turn....but you will be able to do it faster. :D

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Like Craig said...It will require a bit more effort to maneuver at low speeds like paralell parking or pulling/backing into a spot in a parking lot. Otherwise, its the bees knees!!!

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    Been driving my Cobra Jet since 1991 with a P/S sector... With orig manual box, was like steering a barge...

    With the 428 setting on same suspension as Mav/Comet, it's a bitch to park...
