I’m doing a 6 to 8 swap and will be getting some V-belt pulleys since the crate engine didn’t include them. I need to know the distance between the timing chain cover to the center of the first groove. This would tell me if I need a spacer or not and also a heads up on what water pump pulley will be needed. I’m measuring right at 3” now. Also like to know if groove close to the block is for the alternator/water pump...middle groove for AC...groove next to radiator is empty? I will be running AC but not PS
Jeff: I just have single groove Crank Pulley for Alternator/Water Pump, its distance is 4", measured from same front of timing cover to center of groove. Attached are pictures of 3 groove pulley for AC,Alternator/Water Pump,PS. Can not remember which inner/outer groove is for AC or PS, think inner is AC......inner groove should be 3" and outer groove 5". David
For factory outer groove is A/C, center alt, and inner P/S & water pump. Not 100% but I believe without P/S, a different water pump pulley was used, moved belt to center position with alt.
Nothing fancy. The description on Summit's website is wrong. The block is a new cast with 4-bolt main...not a seasoned block. BluePrint Engines BP3024CTC BluePrint Engines Ford 302 C.I.D. 300 HP Dressed Long Block Crate Engines | Summit Racing
"The block is a new cast with 4-bolt main." Would like to see what the bottom end is like, is it based on Boss 302, Dart or ??? David
