It came a few days late but this is what my wife bought me for Valentines Day. She found this in Brazil online and it's NOS. She had it shipped here. She said she couldn't find another like this other than this one so she believes it one of the last around anywhere. I guess the 4 door is getting an interior upgrade. It is definitely a dedicated wheel and for sure brand new, not something like a universal Grant. Obviously high quality and expensive though she won't tell me what she paid for it. Do I have someone special or what?
Those came on some of the South American cars, they can be hard to find in decent shape but I have seen a few of them over the years. A buddy of mine just had one shipped to him in the US so definitely not the last one lol. But very nice present.

I was a bit dubious that there are no more anywhere and I knew this wasn't a North American accessory item, but when the wife found this particular one in Brazil, she looked elsewhere and could not find another. I didn't expect them to be plentiful, but the last one period, not so much. I knew they made Mavs in South America. Still, to find an NOS one is still way cool and I'm sure there are very, very few of them. I know NOS parts as I used to sell them and this one is the genuine article. The box was imprinted from a Jay Matt Kustom Steering Wheels. Never heard of them before. She for sure bought it out of somewhere in Brazil.
If it is from jay Matt then it is not a NOS part but a reproduction one from what I can tell. I know that they did not come with that center button down there. I did find that out about the Jay Matt wheels. Definitely aftermarket but yes, NOS as it was discontinued who knows how long ago. My first clue was no Ford branding or part number. It was made as a specific vehicle fit item, no attaching hardware like a Grant wheel.
