what do you think it'll run

    down at the local dragstrip they have midnight madness. It is where you pay $10 and can run a car down the track as many times as you want. We have an old 88 beretta in the yard that we are going to take town there. The interior is gutted and there is no muffler. It is an 1/8 mile track. I was hoping it would run about an 11.50. Does that seem reasonable.

    Going over to Bama Dragway, huh? Hope after I get the Mav going I can start on the "Stang strip only car to run there some myself.

    best I could get was a 12.13 at 57mph

    <-- present company included. I had a '90 Mustang Vert 5.0 that I just knew was a low 14 second (1/4mi) car at least.

    15.5 seconds later, I learned the truth. :( It felt like the run was never going to end! ("Please, help me Lord. Get me down the track and back home before somebody who knows me, see me!")

    Those beretta's seem fast, my cousin had one, but they are turds against a timer. lol

    And like Rick said... alot of people get dissapointed the first time down the track...

    That was a good night. I outran a 70's nova with a 350 4spd heads up.
