so ive been doing these things with my brakes latley....and all of these web sites i learned off off never told me what happens if i don bleed from all of the tires....since my front bleeder nipples wont work....and i started to notice that most sites dont tell you the wrong way to do these things..just the way they say it works(wich can be different on any site) so do you guys no any site that tells you how to do some basic stuff to keep your car on the road AND STILL TELL YOU WHAT NOT TO DO? lol. thanx-james

P.S....what does happen if i dont bleed from all four

If you don't bleed all 4 wheel cylinders, air will be trapped in the brake lines and your braking force will severely be degraded or non existent. Do Not drive your car until your braking system is fully functional. This is not the system that you can afford to take short cuts. If you cant get the bleeder screws out, replace the wheel cylinders and or calipers.

What not to do is more common sense or experience. All you have to do is tell us what you want to do and somebody here has probably done it and will be happy to guide you along.

Either take it to a brake shop or work with someone who knows what they are doing. I went to Vo-Tech school for 9 weeks on brake systems and worked in a brake/ tire shop for a while. Brake systems can be easy to the experienced but dificult to the unexperienced. We can tell you things to look for when having troubles but were not there to see the whole picture. Don't take any chances, if you have never worked on brakes before. Brakes are a saftey item and should be done properly.

listen up! these guys aren't making this stuff up. when bleeding, always start with rear passenger wheel first. (the farthest from master cyl.) then driver side rear, then passenger side front then last is driver side front. i put my brake hose into a jar with some brake fluid in it, then have a buddy pump and hold pedal while you open up the bleeder. tell helper not to let up on pedal till you lock up bleeder. repeat this until the fluid comes out with NO bubbles and fluid comes out clear. do this for all cyls. remember to keep an eye on the level in master cyl so you don't run it dry and suck in air!. once you are done, drive down your driveway (forward) and slam on brakes whith no hands on the wheel. it shouldn't turn either way by itself. best of luck and if you anren't 100% sure of everything you are doing, don't do anything and send it to the shop! best of luck.

Or you can take it to a shop with a power bleeder. It's not very expensive.

To have a website with a list of what not to do would take an immense amound of bandwidth. There is usually one way to do it right, 8 million ways to do it wrong.

    bleeding brakes

Scott has the bleeding right. If u drive it down the driveway, slam on brakes & it pulls u may have adj mismatch. u got drums ight?
Also on drums if bleders aren't functioning right, the wheel clyinders may be craped up and need cleaned honed and a kit (or new wheel cylinders. Many things can cause some or your problems; if your unsure and don't feel confident get help or have it done good luck. Jan

In my case the bleeder valves weren't stuck but the wheel cylinders leaked (All four of em), I replaced all four, the two front brake hoses, the two front brake lines, and the Master Cylinder in addition to changing all the Brake Shoes. That was my first time through ever doing brakes I had a book which didn't tell me much but more importantly the people on this board and others. I got through it lordzero it's not hard once you do it once :D
