a guy around here locally has a '99 F350 7.3 4x4 for sale. it's a manual, single cab truck. it's rough to say the least. it's been on the farm it's whole life. ive included some pictures so u can see for yourself. body has 245K on it but engine/trans only has 60K or so miles on them. so, what's everyone's HONEST opinion? i know what i can get it for but i just thought i would see what everyone else was thinking. :thumbs2:

That truck is pretty beat up. I really have no idea what those trucks are worth, but with the condition it's in, if it runs and drives good, and you are just using it as a work truck, I would say $800-1000. Again, I really have no idea, I'm just throwing my opinion out there. I would look around and see what they are going for in good condition, and then subtract accordingly since that one is rough. It does look like it could be a decent looking truck again if you were to put a little work into it. That's actually probably pretty low or average mileage for an F350 of that year. I know the ones I have put latter racks on at work, belong to construction company's and generally have around that on them and they are 03's and 04's.

new brakes and recent oil change. clutch is original to the engine/trans i believe. truck runs and drives great. he drives it everyday plus on the farm. wouldnt take much to make it nice.... not to mention a 'nice' one has an average value of around $13K

$2000 and a probe seems like a good deal. I'd say the truck is worth about $4000

I agree Craig, 4-4500. the biggest helper is the diesel engine. but if i trade my Probe and $2K for it ill only have $2500 total in it :D so 2500 vs. 4000 value seems like a decent deal to me. not to mention i can add a new bed and bumper and boost the value another 2K :biglaugh:

Only bad thing is that diesel is higher than gas right now!

once it's gets so high like it is right now, nickel and dime differences dont mean anything to me.... lol. expensive is expensive :) not to mention i gotta have something to haul with, and the value of diesel trucks is alot better when it comes to resale vs. gasoline engine trucks

Well, don't say I didn't tell you so. :biglaugh: Sorry, I just see it as a beat up high mileage, bare bones 9 year old truck. I'd have a really hard time giving 4 grand for that truck, but then again, I have absolutely no use for an F350 anyways. Good luck.

if u was from around here with the diesel trucks and farm, you'd understand why they're worth so much. not to mention it's bound to help on our 300+ acres of land
