Hi guys! sorry if it's an already answered question but I looked in the tech articles and search engine et couldn't find an answer Is there a guide to replacing front wheel bearing on here somewhere? Thanks a lot! Cheers!
I have looked for one but I am not sure which would fit the Maverick Comet best as it is not listed on any, I know it has a similar base to the 60's mustang though, should that one do? Thanks
removing/replacing the outer race is the tricky part... don't install the bearings too tight/loose. check the spindle for wear where the inner race rides. clean, clean, clean... use good wheel bearing grease... don't buy cheap bearings... are you replacing them because they are bad or just because. they may just need repacking with grease... https://www.familyhandyman.com/automotive/utility-trailer/repacking-trailer-wheel-bearings/view-all
Thanks for the advices, I am replacing the front right cause I hear them going bad. And a mechanic confirmed it was that going bad.
Hi gusy, I just started and already running into an issue, the link you gave me to follow http://1bad6t.com/Maverick/repair/brake_system_04b.html mentions a 3/4 and a 5/8 bolt holding the caliper on the anchor plates and I dont see either... Am I blind? Dumb? On the wrong car? hahaha How do I get away from the calipers to get the rotor out? Thanks!
