    what is the largest wheels that will fit on a 71 mav without rubbing? (no weld work , all stock)

    The size tire you can put under your car depends on a few things.

    If the rear end is stock, you may can get a better handle on it vs. those who changed out to the 9". The 9" rear-end came in several different lengths (face to face).

    Also, your rim's backspacing is another variable. Again, if you have stock rims, the answer can be narroed down more easiy vs. someone who has aftermarket rims. The back-spacing of the rims (wheels) is important.
