I know the "Sport" or performance package (and police package) had an 11-1/4" converter, the standard converter was a 12". Just want to know if anyone knows what the actual stall speed is for these two torque converters. I am sure their is a Ford fanatic here that can answer that. Thanx.

It is a 4R70W. an upgraded version of the AODE. Some parts interchange to make the AODE stronger and change gear ratios. I know that the performance version has a slightly higher stall speed but not enough higher for a modified engine. Performance 4R70W's don't use the lock-up converter - they aren't strong enough.
