    Man,
14 inch tires are getting hard to find, other than BF Goodrich, not many other companies make anything decent in a sport tire. I'm thinking 225/70R14's for the back, and 205/70R14's for the front. Any other ideas? (I want to keep the factory trim rings and hub caps.)

Several "off" brands are still out there.Avenger,Challenger,Turbo-Tech are just a few still available around here.I like your size choice.Wal-Mart still sells 14"s,and just about any tire store can still get 'em.I'll run 14s as long as I can,got bunches of wheels, dogpans, rings, probably enough for 3 or 4 cars.

Note: When you want a really good price for something...use phrases like:
"....I have for your consideration". Don't use:

"Hey, Y'all, first $900 gets these here used dog dishes and trim rings. They can be touched up a little. Betty Jean
hit 'em with the pressure washer and peeled back the paint on 'em. I told that &*%#$ to
stay away from my car with her danged pressure washer. Next year I'm gettin' her something
for the inside of the house fer Christmas. Maybe a vacuum cleaner er something."

Use the fancy terminology to get the fancy prices!

    Dave-
I can't tell you the size at the moment, but I have Goodyear Eagle GT II's on the front. It was balanced, but I swapped the rears for taller/wider tires.
I checked Tire Rack but they weren't listed. I had a set on my wife's Jetta-same GT II's. Good ride, quiet, good grip and they lasted well.
    My slots are 14x6.

Tire Rack.com is out of stock on the BF's I want, I'll have to goto Costco and check with them tomorrow. I looked at Firestones, but I don't think I like the looks of them.

Treadepot has them in the Coopers. If your going with 205's in the front why not 215's in the back.

This post got me to thinking.

Anyone still running factory 13's? The 69.5 Maverick I found in a yard the other day had 13 inch wheels.

Do you have any side pic's of your 75? So I could see how the tires fill the wheel well? My car had 205/75-14's on it when I bought it, and they looked real goofy, like balloon tires, and their diameter is 26.1, and your running 215/70-14's which have a diameter of somewhere around 25.9 (depending upon the brand)
