I recently bought US Wheels 97 Series just to find out there 8" and my 195's will be too stretched to fit them well, so now I must buy new tires. I have sorted through the forum to find some hard evidence a 225x50r15 will fit both the front and the back without any modifications but its been difficult. Anybody know if they will be fine? The rim has a backspacing of 3.75 and not the optimal 4.
That definitely helped me visualize what its going to look like but im still a little sketched about the fitment :/ has anyone ran 225's without mods?
225's are a pretty tame tread width. I know that people have fit 275's on stock suspension with well chosen wheels. Maybe the tire shop will mount a 225 for you so that you can see if it fits OK.
Ok thanks I think im going to get the 225's. Someday I plan on running 255's in the back. I'll try to get some pictures of her up as soon as the tires get in.
I used to have 215's in the front with two coils cut out and the tires barely rubbed with it turned all the way.
