I have the granada front disk conversion and the explorer rear disk conversion done but the thing is I still have my origenal 14" spare... will it work if I have to use it? Or do I have to get atleast a 15" riim for a spare? I'd appreciate any and all info I can get. Thank you.

Factory 14x7 Magnums get a bit close to the caliper. I had a rubbing problem due to a rough weld on the wheel. 14x6s are fine, and 15x7s are no problem.

I don't know how wide the origenal rims are that run the 195/75-14 tire... this is just a spare but its 36years old so I'm debating on either putting a newer tire on it or just get a differant rim & tire.

Any fitment experiance with a 14" rim and the explorer rear disks? thanks

Food for thought ... I scored a smaller spare out of a mid-80s LTD. It is T125/80/16. It takes up half the trunk space that a full size spare does. You keep it pumped up to about 60psi IIRC.

Grab the molded grey felt cover that came with it too. :thumbs2:
