I have been working with a lady at Fairchild Industries getting replacement weather-stripping for the window channel. I had it installed on my Sprint at the Roundup. It is a perfect match. I was contacted today and told that Autokrafters has made an agreement to carry it. I would think they should start selling it in a few weeks. I have some left over from mine if anyone would like a sample just send me your address and I will mail you a 2" section.

    WAY TO GO MAVAHOLIC!!!!

Your generous help and time will help many Maverick/Comet owners who would like to be able to drive in the rain :D or replace the tired original with some made with the Maverick/Comet in mind. Thanks for the great effort, and we all applaud you.

Mavaholic; thanks a bunch. I am using the J.C.Whitney stuff, and it is ok, but not tight and smooth like it should be. Can't wait until the real thing is finally available. Kudos!!!

I talked to AutoKrafters today and confirmed that they would be getting it. I told them that the stuff they were selling wouldn't work on a Maverick/Comet...so they might as well drop it and sell something that does work. They seemed very helpful and interested in getting other products for our cars.

I was just wondering if anyone had ever approached them about producing more sheetmetal for these cars. I feel floor pans would be a great thing for them to reproduce. I was just curious if they were even interested in producing them. Anyone????

I talked to one of the head honchos once at Ford Carlisle about reproducing the lower rear quarter. They already have the full quarter so I figured it would be a piece of cake to do just the lower section behind the wheel. I figure they could sell a bunch of them. Well, he basically blew me off and said he didnt think it would be worth his effort and not profitable enough. Thats why I pretty much dont buy from them unless its the only game in town. Alot of the stuff they have is available else where and I go to the sorce if possible. Hopefully they will change their attitude.
