    Convertible... part 2

Well I spent all day Saturday stripping and gutting out the practice car. Nick showed up Sunday morning around 7:30 and we spent all day till about 3:30 cutting and grinding until we got it to fit, thanks buddy! Surprisingly, it fit pretty good. Its snug in the back but it will fit between the rear fenders. The distance between the windshield posts at the bottom were the exact same as a Maverick. It actually was not that bad of a deal to get it in there. Shaping the rear section and trunk area will be the biggest challenge.

I can't remember if you've already stated it or not, but are you going to add some type of sub-frame connectors/stiffeners (like most convertibles)?

    Coming along nicely.

Dennis Super Job!! So will the top pull forward all the way to the mav windshield or does it need extended. Does the car seem like it wants to bend in half. I noticed all the supports you have in place. I am in awe at this undertaking.YOu must have kahunas(spelling) the size of bowling balls:bowdown:

Dennis, what do you plan to do about how the side glass seals to the top? As you know, Mavs have window frames and Mustangs do not. How will you account for this and the different shape of the glass?? Just curious...

    Sam :)

Dennis, that's just totally amazing. It certainly looks like this project is going to work out well for you. Just keep documenting everything you do and take plenty of photos. Heck, before ya know, you'll have your own tv show! (y)
