Granted, the Drag-N-Fly MUST lose the front bumper, but before everyone dismisses it so quickly, check out: http://www.torinocobra.com/king_cobra.htm Looks pretty similar to me....
I know we are thread jacking but after looking at the King Cobra I got to thinking.... the Dragon Fly is similar but the KC has full fenders not just a grill that trys to acomplish the same thing in just a few inches. If someone where to get these and make a mold, just the front peice, one could get a set of fiberglass fenders and recontour them with the addition of the headlight parts. Of course then you would have to create a hood.... well never mind...
I think if done right, a Drag-N-Fly could look very cool.....similar to the website that MaverickConnect posted
I split this thread http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=29309 to create this thread to discuss the Drag N Fly
I just can't imagine anyone owning one of those Drag-N-Flys! The torino has a lot more fiberglass. They used fender extentions as opposed to a full header panel. I agree the '74-'77 bumper is a real aesthetic issue on the Drag-N-Fly! Blending a longer hood and adding a valence to a smaller bumper would be the answer.
Behold.... The "Drag-N-King". Hey Doug, I took the liberty of "enhancing" your new Mav a bit to show what could have been done. I hope you don't mind. It was nice to see your stable of Mavs. I hope to see you in the Spring or at Carlisle All-Ford. Take care and they look great! (Wish I had room for more cars). Ed Bennett (JR)
