has anyone ever contemplated shaving the drip rails from their project? I recently made the distinction with newer cars and wondered if someone has tried this before...
http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=65053 http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=35510 I wanted to do this, but stitch welding all that would take forever, so im just leaving it body color
That is what I decided too. I'm also not going to reinstall my chrome drip rail trim. I would be afraid to screw up a nice new paint job if I couldn't get them back on in the same correct position they were when I removed them.
I think it looks good and for as much rain as we get in SoCal it would be an easy decision for me. I just don't have the skills. If/when I'm able to do a full restoration I will definitely consider this mod. Looks super! edit: Wow! just noticed Thack is located near where I work...nice
That's were I work, but I'm actually in the open side near the commissary. I've been thinking it would be nice to coordinate a mini meet in this area, but I'll need a little more time to get my car together though. I know sometimes car clubs meet a their respective dealerships. Maybe we could do a meet at Raceway Ford someday.
