ok i said i would do this so first off heres the part u will need * flywheel for a 300inline 6 (90's models because of clutch options 10" or 11") 164 tooth * bellhouseing that the flywheel will fit in i used on off a 4 speed bull dog ( i used a 84 model) *clutch kit ( i would rec-amend a new one) * 300 Manuel starter (i think a 250 manuel or 302 manuel will work also) * dust shield (mine off a 3.8) *4 longer bolts for bolting the bellhousing to the block(about a half inch longer) * longer fork for throw bearing i found all this at 2 different junk yards cost about $90 this is including buying a new gear and having it put on the fly wheel and having nose changed on starter off of the 200 (manuel starter) hope this will help
Have you got this car running and driving yet? Until you do....you might want to wait before you post up this info.
yes runs and drives great i ran into a problem with the z bar because the 200 is not as wide as the 250 and the presser plate is a little harder to mash and it bent the clutch rode.... so im working on building a beafer clutch rode but yes iv drove it around the road today and pulled a few hills no shaking
its a 3speed o/d u no looks like a 4 speed but its has o/d one like this one http://www.davidkeetoploaders.com/imposters.htm
i must say the 250 is a different motor with a stick shift behide it come paired to a auto = im pretty happy with it
question i am going to pull the auto out for a manual on a 250 i have all the original 250 parts lined up but my question when reading the link they said the tail shaft on the overdrive unit will cause issues what did you have to do to overcome them. asking because i have a line on imposter for 30 bucks
u lost me on this.....i just used the tranny i had in the car before....it a 3 speed o/d its just like a 4 speed except its has a o/d gear as 4th in stead of 1 to 1 direct... ps hope u have a z bar or u going to use a cable because i had to cut my old z bar up that came off the 200 so i could use it on the 250
depends on what ur looking for if ur talking about the z bar then no but i could get a few i guess yes same demensoins = heavy

I was talking about changing out a c4 for a manual tranny in a 77 that came with a 250 c4 combo what i was refering to is the link to describe the imposter tranny. part way down it says how the tail shaft housing is different in speedo port and shifter mount. also the fact i didn't relize you were reusing your old tranny sorry. and i lucked out i have a z bar from a 250
u will still need ever thing i listed but im not sure if the the yoke is the same or not u could ask and see...the speed o cable is the same as a auto im running the gear out of the auto in the stick shift
