I looked through as many threads as I could and I am trying to decide between the following unless you guys recommend something better. Right now with my electric fan and AC I'm having a tough time keeping the voltage up and the car shuts off sometimes when everything is on. I still wanna add some other elctrical goodies so don't know how much alternator I really need.

I'm using a 3G off a 93 5.0L Mustang, I had to change the pulley, and a few other little things, seems to work great. It was only $120, brand new, and local. I think the circuit breaker cost, $75 from Napa...

I use a 3g 130A as well, you can even pull one from a 90's Taurus, make a slight modification to the top lug and you'd be money ahead. I think i'm in about 45.00 for my setup, including the fuse and fuse holder.

mo i can get you a 3g or the 100 amp alt and help you install it. that e-bay price is not that great of a deal. with eletronics like that i like to get it local so if there is a problem its not a huge hassel to get it taken care of.

I wouldn't say DAILY...sometimes I stay at home all day and don't go anywhere. I have been on long 8-10 hour trips out of state many of times. I have an electric water pump, 780 watt amp on the sound system, 55/65 watt headlights taxing the alternator most of the time. Matter of fact, I respect this alternator so much I replaced the Maverick alternator when it played out with a Summit one wire alternator last winter.
