Congrats Nick. This is a positive move for the MCCI as we are committed to moving the Roundup Nationals around. All it takes is a willing member to step up and turn in a proposal. Thanks again Nick......see you all there.

After driving 13 hours for the last 2 years and 10 hrs to New Castle for 4 yrs, I'm loving it. Only 1 hr away from me!!!WoooHooo!!!! Yes, DC is an expensive area but its a chance to visit your Nations Capital. I hope you all can make it. There is so much to see and do in DC.

I understand Don and I hope you can find a way to make it. Unfortunately guys like you, Doug and others who live so far away will probably never get a break. I have often thought about what I would do if it kept going west. I think I would fly in without my car. Second choice would be to build one of my Mavericks with a 6cyl and overdrive trans to get the best gas mileage possible. Driving long distances really suck, but it's even worse when you have those big trailers behind you.

Thanks to Nick for stepping up to the plate to give us some new scenery. It is over 900 miles for me, but I will be there!

I just looked over the plans and the drive - almost 11 hours. I talked it over with the wife and that whole week may be next year's vacation.:yup:

Thank you everyone for the kind words!!! Unfortunatly no matter where the Roundup is, there will always be drawbacks for some people. For those people I say I'm sorry. The last two years I have driven my Maverick 722 miles one way to Kentucky, before that I drove my Maverick 650 miles one way to Indiana. I know what you are going through. The only reason the Roundup is going to be in Virginia next year is because I got off my butt, researched it, and drew up a proposal. I just finished spending 5 hours doing some legwork for the Roundup today. Anyone can do it. I really want this Roundup to be special and I will do everything I can to make it happen. I'm all about having a good time and if you are able to make it to next years Roundup I guarantee you WILL have a good time. I hope to see as many of my Maverick/Comet blood brothers at next years Roundup. :Handshake

Since Nick is hosting the Round-Up, does that mean all the decorations are going to be yellow and black? Some orange and brown would be nice.:biglaugh:
