Got my room booked also (I think). It took awhile on the phone...press this number, press that number and listen to every language known to mankind between the numbers. After you jump through all the loops you can talk to a real person. If you want the discount don’t tell them MCCI...they don't have that name listed. Tell them Maverick Comet Club. Also be sure tell them the hotel address because I think who ever you are talking to is booking all the hotels coast to coast.

I shall be there as well. Reservations are made. I haven’t been able to make a meet since 2006. It’s high time I get back in the groove. My biggest problem is I now have two Mavericks I’d like to bring. I’m doubting I can get my wife to drive one all the way up so I’ll have to decide on which to take. My white 76 does have AC so that one is winning the vote so far. My green 71 Grabber hasn’t made it to a major meet yet and it’s more sentimental to me since I’ve had it for 46 years but it’s gonna be warm in July so there just went ANOTHER vote!

Many times I have brought (2) cars to a Roundup Nationals. The key to getting my wife to drive one was:

    1. Air Conditioning
    2. Cruise Control

So you have a few months to add cruise control. :D

LOL...that is a thought. Never had cruise in a Maverick before but I do like using it.

I'll be traveling 6.5 hrs to get there. It will be my 1st RoundUp and hope to meet Mav enthusiast, some mechanical gurus like Craig Selvy, and buy some cool stuff. My 71 is my baby! The wife and kids can come or stay home :)

Bring the wife and kids. They will have a great time. This is truly a family event and other wives and kids will be there.

We have added MORE rooms to the MCCI block of rooms, so that more members can attend and stay at the host hotel.

Craig; has this corona virus effected any of the plans for the Roundup as of now? Just need you to keep us updated, so plans can be made or scrapped. Sure hope we can get this done, I need some time with good friends, awesome cars.

Right now, the Roundup Nationals are 4 months away. None of the plans have changed. If anything were to be changed, of course the membership will be notified via the normal channels.

As Craig has stated, the MCCI will keep it's members informed if there are any changes. Let's hope this national emergency situation can be fixed and put behind us so we can move on with all of our summer fun plans. The MCCI has lots of Mini-Meets scheduled as well this summer, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone out and about.

What I've experienced so far is that drinking mass quantities of alcoholic beverages seems to keep the virus bugs at bay.
(Hope I didn't just jinx myself...)
