72 Comet Tail/brake Light Socket

    Does anyone know where to get or a part number for a 72 Comet tail/brake light socket..... I have one that is working correctly and need a replacement and am having trouble finding one.....

    I dunno about the brake/tail lamp socket, but for backup I'm using modified(one locating tab trimmed) sockets from a '87-'88 T-Bird... Fit just like original...

    Thanks for the info guys..... The companies rear counter show do not have them.....

    I did find an NOS one on eBay that I ordered..... I am going to get a couple from Melvins, just in case.....

    The ones Melvins has looks like they are the front parking light sockets..... When I put them in the cart they showed as parking light not tail light..... I went back and looked through there site and they use the same part number for both..... I know for a fact they are not the same, that's why the say some filing may be required..... I'll find out for sure because I ordered them, I will post what I find.....

    I used them Frank, one ear has to be trimmed. When you hold it beside your original, study each ear on both the old and new socket, you will see which one to trim the extra material off of.
