FOLKS ... the Weather is looking bad for Saturday. I will post tonight if the mini-meet is postponed until Sunday. Weather is supposed to be beautifule on Sunday. I will post tonight both here and on Dixie Maverick to let everyone know the final decision.

The Gates open at 8:00 on Sunday. I am getting in touch with FFW to let them know if the weather is bad we will not be there Saturday to make sure our Saturday tickets are OK for Sunday.

Weather.Com currently show's a wide band of rain moving east ....

The Mini-Meet is officially postponed until Sunday Morning at 8:00 AM. I will be meeting Ray Parrish at 7:00 AM on Cracker Barrel for breakfast at the Commerce exit. Anyone that can make it please join us.

Good news ... the area where our Mini-Meet was last year is now paved ... so no matter how hard it rains tonight and tomorrow we won't be in a mud pit on Sunday! :thumb:

Yes, this will work out great for me then. Been scrambling all week to get my car back in one piece, it's back together now with the exception of the door panels/arm rests. Just drove it back down from NC and washed it. I must say this dual exaust from the '74 Grabber makes a huge diffrence in how well the car runs. Much better. And I'm now rolling on 5 lug rims all around! :) The '74 Grabber is now rolling on ...concrete blocks? :16suspect

As you can see, the exaust from a big bumpered Maverick is slightly long for a small bumpered mav. Thats been cut off now and I will go to Advance Auto tomarrow and get some new chrome tips to put on. :)

Now to catch up on here and wade through all these PM's. :90:

I sure hope you didn't work under that car with it just on jacks.

An I REALLY hope you didn't work UNDER the 1974 with it just on cement blocks.

I just talked to Ray .... Ray talked to Crystal. Ray told her the Maverick guys did not want to bring their cars in the rain and could we use our tickets tomorrow. Crystal said no ... the event is open today ... rain or shine .... That is total Bullcrap if you ask me .. The ticket is $25 either day .... what does she care what day we use it. Crystal was with Ray when I called and when he said it was me she left and apparantly didn't want to discuss it. I will call my Credit Card company and get my $35 back for the tickiet if they do not honor it tomorrow. Ray said there are only a few cars on the show field and it is currently very wet there the rain just went through. Anybody have any ideas? Sorry for this mess but ... I should have discussed a rain issue when we setup the prepurchase tickets. Everyone still want to show tomorrow even if they don't honor the tickets? I can tell you if they don't honor the tickets I won't be having any more Maverick events at FFW .... not allowing 6 tickets to be used on Sunday instead of Saturday is ridiculous!

Uhh, when I took the pictures of the red car Tuesday morning, the jack stands were under the black car because it was just after I pulled the rear end. No one was round the red car until after I put jack stands back under it. I took the pics of the black car Thursday morning when the jack stands were back under the red car. I pulled the exaust Thursday evening with the car being supported by a big Snap-On jack. Kind of hard to work under a car being supported by bricks when it only has about 4 inches of room under it. Not that I would work on it if it did have more room since I know someone will say something on that.

And since I know someone is going to jump in with smart ass questions about me pulling the exaust with it on nothing but a jack, that consisted of putting my arm under the car for about 15 seconds to unbolt an exaust hanger. Then I just drug the exaust out from the back.

Anyone else care to chime in and prove how stupid they "think" I am? Please, I need a laugh. Amazing...

Dan, I'll still go tomarrow if anyone else is. Won't cost me anymore since I didn't pre pay.

Yeah I'll chime in. You haven't been working on cars long enough or lived life long enough to understand the dangers with working on cars. you say your arm was only under the car for 15 seconds, it only take 1 second for disaster to happen. it amazes me you haven't been hurt before now. you should never depend on a floor jack for support alone, anything hydroylic can fail and they do from time to time, it's just common sense to protect one from apparent danger. I don't why you have to use cuss words to describe or reply to comments and advise from members of this board, it only shows your lack of maturity and total disrepect for the older and wiser members who are only trying to help you, believe it or not you don't know everything! You owe Craig Selvey an apology in my opion for insulting him, and for a good laugh just look in the mirror.........but you keep doing what you do and we'll keep reading of your adventures!!
