I put it on a watch last night just to see what it sold for and recieved an offer to buy it for a discounted price. I already have the stuff so I won't bid but thought you'd be interested in knowing the seller will deal.
ill reach out to them. EDIT: He did come down a little. I bought them. Thanks again for the heads up. Saved quite a bit over new.
Here is the thread I will need about the throttle cable http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/70-maverick-problem.118748/ Luckily I got a new V8 pedal with my ebay order. Now I just need to figure out how the cable goes on since it seems to be an issue with a '70
You got the later style pedal with your purchase so you are good to go . I hate when people wont take a few minutes to clean parts up that they want good money for but he moves a lot of volume and has no problems selling it just not my style
You’re not giving yourself enough credit, most people would screw things up then come here for help. You had enough common sense to ask questions before making a mess of things, this tells me with help from the members here you will get your car fixed up & then be able to cruise it with pride knowing you did it yourself.
OK, i got the 302/C4 today... The guy helping me said he was glad it was a "truck c4" . Something about the bell curve on the C4 being bigger/longer. Here it is. Am I going to have an issue getting that in the skinny '70 tunnel?
I don't know what he was referring too, but I don't think it'll be an issue for you. The C4 used multiple bellhousings depending on flex plate tooth count, torque converter size, and other variants, including one for the 351M/400. Here's some good information about the C4: http://www.mustangcentral.net/tech/c4.html More here: https://www.advanceadapters.com/tech-vault/1-ford-c4/
The "truck" version is just a pan fill versus case fill. Internally I've read that they are the same. Lots of information out there on the Internets. I have a pan fill on my '75 and fits fine so there shouldn't be much of a clearance issue.
Ok sounds like the thing I need to find out is will a PAN filled C4 case fit in a 1970. Thanks, that will be easier to research.
The pan fill, truck C4 has a slightly larger 164T bell housing than does the case fill that used a 157T. The cases are all same size.
Dont want overthink anything, but will a v8 radiator hose clamp down to the smaller I6 radiator? I never tried and dont know. BTW, Go Roger!!!!! I wanna see the IT guy pull it off!
