The show grows so much each year, and he always likes to see the Mavs and Comets make a better show. What did we have last year, six? And except for mine, all were damned fine looking specimens!

I like the McGregor idea. But....I'd love to go even to Katy.

I guess I'm out too, just a little far to mess with. We need something more around DFW area. Maybe if nothing else hit the Little Rd hang out some night. Not really a show, but a good parking lot full of cars, even a few Mavericks here and there.

Sorry, guys! We've banked on the Mustang club for 8 years to provide us with a free venue, so their not having a show this year caught us all off guard.

The show in Katy actually has more cars total, and the money goes to the church's charities, etc. We've even had more Mavericks there than in Waco!

Texas is big! Unfortunately to find a venue that makes everyone happy will be impossible. Waco worked pretty good, but there were complaints even when we held it there. We've even talked about two meets in Texas a year, with this church's fundraiser one of the obvious choices.

If you want see a really good selection of Mavericks, you need to go to the Roundup, our national meet. To do that you will have to drive as far as 1500 miles or more, as many of us have had to all these years.

If all goes well, the Roundup will be here in the Austin area in 2013 and 2014--something to really look forward to!:thumbs2:

I love Austin. I'm origionaly from there so I know the area well.
The Roundup is wayyyy bigger than the mini meet we usually have. It's not official that I know of either. He also mentioned like next year or later.. I certanily hope it's not on the same dates as the Gathering, THAT would stink.
What I have been doing is hitting up the Mini Meet and going to Lockhart or Elguin for sausage on the same day.. Guess not this year :(.

My complaint if any was that it wasn't in Waco. It WAS then it moved to McGregor which is further, not too much but still further. To me being actually in Waco is pretty close to central Texas and should be the place for us... :2cents:

Anyone who is a member of the MCCI Club can hold a Mini-Meet---it doesn't have to be the state rep.

Gene: I pass through Elgin to get to Katy. I can pick you up some sausage on the way! ;)
