Well, gee, if we dont have an open mind, it must be closed. Or almost closed. Lets see......whats a good word to describe that....how about narrow minded. Hey, I represent that statement in this case. I guess I should ask that question on a corvette board so all those open minded guys can give me some pointers.
Thanks, all the tracks in the video are 1/8th mile tracks......that's basically all there is around here..... my best is a 6.34 @ 112 mph. (on spray) i've ran the 1/4 one time in my life and the car was setup for the 1/8th and still ran an 11.1 @ 120 off the trailer, on motor-no spray.

I think the reason folks are going with the M2 suspension is to accomodate the width of the SBC. It is wide compared to most Ford engines, also our engine bays are alot narrower than a 67 Stang. Our frame rails, which effect headers, are crazy narrow compared to most cars. I am not sure even shaved towers would allow an SBC to run in a Mav. Dave
I wonder also .......... where is that guy Oh and Mavaholic, go here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 I'm Wife's Vette there ..... Comet Dad here ..... do you see a trend BTW
My buddy has a 800hp 5.9 cummins. On a dyno jet it made 808hp. and 1475ft.lbs. I'd like to put that it my Comet. No not really but he is putting it in a shortbed dodge, caged and the whole 9 yards.Im not gonna like it when he passes me like Im on jack stands at 100 psi of boost.
I though of doing this in the past and what I thinking will work is using a oil pan for a chevy II because its notched out to clear the steering. I like what ssakayeda wanting to do. I like all makes and models and love mixing them up myself.
Theproblem w/ the lt1 is not the width, but the length of the mtr.I saw one in a newer vette a few wks ago w/ a super charger on it.It seemed quite a bit longer than a 350,& there was a guy in Windsor Va a few months ago that sold a Mav w/ a 434 chevy small blk in it turning mid 5s at Richmond Va Dragway.(1/8 mi)
I am a brand purist, so I would put a Ford engine in your Maverick. With that said, some of the responses on here are hilarious!
