hi good morning my 70 maverick has a problem all the lights are working good except or the rear tail light when i press the brake pedal i t works and the turn signals too but the park light or the ones have to always be turn on does not work ,, i try everything the fuse , the ground,the switch i decide to run a ne cable directly to the battery does any one have the way i can connect its only for the stop lights on the back not for brake o turn signal please !
thank you tomas this link can help me later but now the problem is the back lights the problem is this turn signals in booth sides are working good , all lights working good but the tail lights needs to be in on mode some way to the front lights but not so i made this i thy to conect them just the tail lights directly to the battery but not the turn signals cuz turn signals are working good and brake lights too
Does your park lamps, license plate and side marker lights work??? Those and tail-lamps are fed from same source...
OK when I had exact problem with my Comet the head light switch was bad... There are two circuit breakers inside, one feeds the head lights and other park/tail, sidemarker & license light... That second breaker was open, had to repl switch... Here's a somewhat crude drawing of the switch contacts but should help you, check to see if there is power on the brown wire(center right) with lights on, if not the switch is bad...
