I just switched the rag joint in my car that goes from my rack to my steering column , I did this to gain clearance between the steering linkage and my headers! now that I got my car back to gather I am disappointed in the way I feel every glitch in the road. The old rag joint took a lot of road feel and vibration out of the steering wheel ! My car is race only so it is tolerable but I would not use the U joint on a street car!

Thanks for the reply, I was real disappointed in the results of removing the rag joint and replacing it with a universal! It is to bad the manufacturer don't tell the true story when they make these makeshift parts! Your vibration damper looks like the way to go.
