What cars are suitable donors for rear disc brake swap?

    I did some searching through the forum and found references to a disc brake swap with a Crown Vic. if you have the earlier 69.5-74 8" smaller axle tube rear end.
    There were other references to a similar swap with an Exploder if you have the later 75 and up large axle tube rear end.
    None of the references i saw indicated what years of crown vics. or Exploder
    Some questions:
    1. Are there other suitable donor cars? Marquis? Mountaineer?
    2. Are there any mods necessary to install the Exploder discs on a 75 5 lug Maverick rear.
    3. What years?
    4. Would a later model Mustang 8.8 complete rear axle bolt in a Maverick and be an easier swap?
