Okay, my son and I may have purchased the WRONG water pump. I purchased this one.

I believe it is for a newer model 302. We also purchased this timing cover with a mechanical fuel pump and eccentric.

We have installed both of them and then we started looking for pulley's for a 1975. None fit! Imagine that. My question: Can I leave the newly purchased parts on and go to a serp belt with the donor motor's serp pulley's or will that cause my water pump to not pump? (rotation?) IF so, I could use the donor motor's PS pump and alternator? yes?????
    Thanks!

Okay, maybe I should provide a little more information. I have a 1988 roller cam 302 donor, putting it in my 1975 maverick. We should have purchased a late model WP but didn't. What is the best solution at this point?

Your parts are mismatched. You have a reverse-rotation pump and a timing cover with inlets for a standard rotation pump.

Timing covers are not same height for early vs EFI engines...

This is my orig, pump, pulleys and harmonic balancer bolted to the '88 EFI 5.0 that was in my T-Bird...

BTW there is no such thing as a reverse rotation timing cover for 5.0, all have the same flow director... This is not true for 351 those do have a specific reverse rotation cover... The reverse pumps have a wider bolt pattern on hub, cannot bolt std pulley/fan to those...

Can I use the serpentine set up (pulleys) that was on my 1988 donor in the rebuild?
